It brings me joy to present this film to you. Shooting this film in Palestine was a dream come true for me. We shot for 1.5 days in Ojai, California in April 2023, and 3 and a half days in Palestine in June 2023. Thank you to every single person who was a part of its existence.  With the amount of injustice that is embedded into our lives, it almost feels silly to release a film that is not directly fighting the occupation with facts and photojournalism. What I can present to you today is testament to my deep appreciation and love for Palestine. 

This film doesn’t present you anything bedded in reality, quite the opposite, it makes you question reality, dive deep into memory/nostalgia, and shines clarity on our fragmented existence. 

Foremostly, I hope this short film is of service to the people of Palestine: Firstly, to soften the hardened minds of the average viewer by giving an opportunity to experience Palestine in all it’s beauty; To offer them a window into our past should change how they perceive us in the present, and therefore expedite our future towards liberation. Secondly, to elevate the viewer’s perception of Palestine through this homage to our heritage and strong connection to our incredible nature and land.  And thirdly, by reminding all diaspora where their truth and path lies…in their return to Palestine.  I urge every audience member who watches this film to embrace their connection to Palestine, whatever that connection may be or look like.
